UMN Center for Educational Innovation (CEI)
The University of Minnesota's Center for Educational Innovation (CEI) advances the University of Minnesota’s teaching and learning mission by providing research-informed, transformative, and inclusive leadership in teaching and learning.
It provides services including: teaching consultations, student feedback facilitation, instructional media production, research and evaluation of educational practices, curricular and educational initiatives.
CEHD Digital Education and Innovation (DEI)
The College of Education and Human Development's Department of Digital Education and Innovation (DEI) provides instructors with guidance, support, and expertise in innovative teaching and learning strategies. DEI provides the following services:
Instructional designers and academic technologists
Background in education, course design, assessment strategies, curriculum development and online learning. Work closely with instructors and program coordinators.
Multimedia producer
Background in videography and multimedia development. Expertise in accessibility. Assists instructors with course video and audio, instructional media, and multimedia assignments.
Instructional Technology Fellows
Graduate student positions, one in most departments. Extensively trained on the academic technology applications used at the university in order to provide support to instructors as they use Canvas, Google Workspace, Kaltura, and other applications.
